Now that the summer construction season is coming soon, we are accepting applications for the following positions: Laborer/Board-up/Service Technician, Carpenter/Handy Man (Property Management/Renovations), Construction Superintendent & Estimator/Project Manager. Team Member will perform such duties and responsibilities as are consistent with such position.

 

Minimum requirements for all positions:

 

-Pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening.

-Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record. Applicant MUST obtain a copy of their driving record for the last 5 years (from the Department of Transportation) and include it with their resume/application for employment.

-High school graduate or GED.

-Prior experience in the construction/real estate industry.

-Ability to work alone, safely, productively and possess problem solving skills.

 

Laborer/Board-up/Service Technician Position Additional Minimum Requirements:

 

-Ability to respond to a service call anywhere in the City of Milwaukee within 30 minutes, 24-Hours a day & 7 Days a week.

-Knowledge of and advanced skills in the use of tools, equipment, and materials common to the carpentry trade.

 

Carpenter/Handy Man Position Additional Minimum Requirements:

 

-Ability to respond to a service call anywhere in the City of Milwaukee within 30 minutes, 24-Hours a day & 7 Days a week.

- Knowledge of and advanced skills in the use of tools, equipment, and materials common to the carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC trades.

-Ability to resolve issues and perform necessary actions for immediate resolutions in carpentry, electricity, plumbing and HVAC trades.

 

Construction Superintendent Position Additional Minimum Requirements:

 

-Five years experience in the residential and commercial construction industry.

-Renovation & new construction experience.

-Ability to read construction drawings, specifications and build schedules for all trades required to perform work.

-Basic computer skills with general knowledge of the following programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & the internet.  

 

Estimator/Project Manager Position Additional Minimum Requirements:

 

-Five years experience in the residential and commercial construction management or bachelor’s degree in construction management.

-Renovation & new construction experience or bachelor’s degree in construction management.

-Advanced computer skills with knowledge of the following programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project & the internet.   

 

Starting Compensation

 

Laborer/Board-up/Service Technician $9-$11.

Carpenter/Handy Man $9-$25.

Superintendent-Competitive based on experience.

Estimator/Project Manager-Competitive based on experience.
